{"id":327,"date":"2010-11-25T13:02:22","date_gmt":"2010-11-25T02:02:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/shapednoise.wordpress.com\/"},"modified":"2026-02-02T15:34:47","modified_gmt":"2026-02-02T02:34:47","slug":"info","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/shapednoise.com\/site\/info\/","title":{"rendered":"News:"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"id1\">\r\n<h2><span style=\"color: #993300;\">Recently:<\/span><\/h2>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Released the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thecrosscontinent.com\"> second album<\/a> from my collaboration with Trevor Richards.<\/li>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>Had the pleasure of giving a talk at Massey Uni here in Wellington to a very welcoming cohort!<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>A project I&#8217;ve been deeply involved with for the last 12 months or so, the Arturia miniFreak and its virtual doppelg\u00e4nger, the miniFreak-V are now\u2026\u00a0<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shapednoise.com\/site\/archives\/6379\">RELEASED<\/a>!<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>Alpha testing some new musical instrument hardware &lt;miniFreak by Arturia) that&#8217;s so bogglingly fun, I can hardly believe I got to help design it!<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>Observing some quite cult like behaviour in a software startup, and wondering if the actual owners of the company have noticed or care.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>Been trying to wrap my head around the entire NFT and Web3 thing, as it perhaps offers some good things, but seems to be currently rife with scams, rip off merchants and all round shonky behaviours.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>Exploring UVI Falcon as a platform for new sample libraries<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>Put forward a design for an audio interface to a rather fantastic music audio and software company, lets see if it happens.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>Been continuing to assist some very clever people with Kontakt instrument design.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>Had a rather dizzyingly early start a few mornings ago to jam with Imogen Heap via Endlesss<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>Head down on 2 seperate and equally exciting sound design gigs from New Zealand and the UK. \u00a0<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>Recovering from\u2026 That bug.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>Gearing up to move to from Istanbul to Morocco for an extended residency.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>Totally amazed at how badly the Australian govt is dealing with this global health crisis.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>Incredibly impressed by how the NZ govt is dealing with this global health crisis.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>Completed new track <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/DJWiqcE3Z4k\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Trace<\/a> with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/search?client=safari&amp;rls=en&amp;q=trevor+richards+WA&amp;ie=UTF-8&amp;oe=UTF-8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Trevor Richards<\/a>\u00a0in Fremantle WA.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>Assisting the loverly Pendle Poucher with some of his <a href=\"http:\/\/dulcitone1884.virb.com\">Sound Dus<\/a>t UK Kontakt Instruments.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>Completed my input into Psalterd Zither with the very\u00a0brilliant\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.modwheel.co.nz\">Modwheel<\/a>.
